HCMR mission to Mauritius under IAEA MAR7007 project

The Mare aux Vacoas reservoir, which was built in 1885 and has a capacity of ~26×106 m3, provides water to the upper Plaines Wilhems and to Moka in Mauritius.

The isotope group of the HCMR visited the island of Mauritius on 14-18 November 2022 to provide assistance on the development of an Atlas output, which aims to present the existing hydrological and isotopic information in the country. The mission also included training on water sampling strategies and stable isotope techniques, particularly focusing on nitrogen pollution.
