Sampling survey in the Sperchios River catchment

The HCMR group performed two sampling campaigns in surface waters and groundwaters of the Sperchios River catchment in June and November 2024. The campaigns included the collection of samples to be analyzed for water stable isotope ratios (¹⁸O/¹⁶O, ²H/¹H) and ²²²Rn activity. The analysis of samples for ²²²Rn activity was done in the field by using a Durridge RAD7 detector that was provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The survey is a side activity of the IAEA F33027 project led by Ms Lucia Ortega.
